How to get your product known by your target audience?

For that, you have to know the different awareness stages. So all of this is your target audience.

Within that audience you have different audiences with different stage of awareness. Going from the top, you have people that are

  1. Unaware of the pain
  2. Aware of the pain
  3. Aware of the solutions
  4. Aware of your product
  5. Aware of your product features

And then customer.

All of these are very important because these are all the steps that someone goes from going to a stranger to being your customer.

Now based on that, you have three important things.

  • The very first one is that your content's message is going to be completely different depending on the awareness stage.
  • The second, if you want short-term results, you have to focus on the solution-aware audience. What does that mean? Well, you have to focus on targeting people who are already looking for solutions to the problem your product is solving.
  • And finally, if you want long-term results, well, it's the other way around. You have to focus on a broader audience and be top of mind.

So in the short term, your goal is to convince people already looking for a solution to their problem that your product is the best solution for them.

If you want long-term results

In that case, you want to focus on people who are either aware of the pain but not really looking for solutions or just unaware. Or people that are completely unaware of the pain and instead trying to convince them that your product is something they need to buy right now, what you should do is convince them that they should give their attention to you because you are giving them value in some kind of way.

So here, maybe they are unaware of the pain desire. In this case, what you want to do is show them that maybe they have a problem.
And then when they are in the aware of the pain stage where you can show the different kind of solution that they have of and why one is better or maybe not, and the difference, the pros and cons of each solutions.

The goal here is to focus on being top of mind so that actually the moment they need actually to solve their problem and find a solution, they think about you and your product so that they become a customer.
